GSA offers internships for high-school students, college students, graduate students, and those who are currently employed.
GSA can assist with finding internships, trainings, and shadowing experiences in over 20 fields and in over 70 countries. Internships can be either in person or virtual, allow a student or current jobholder to gain valuable work experience in a company in their field of interest, and can lead to part-time or full-time job offers. These internships strengthen a student’s college, graduate-school, and job applications, and the real-world experience helps students determine if the field they are interning in is one they want to pursue in their studies and/or career.
Internships teach core skills such as communication, leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, and career management, and provide individualized coaching. They also provide valuable networking opportunities and can provide evaluations and endorsements. There is flexibility regarding the duration and the number of hours per week required.
